PAT Training Schedule

The event will be held at The African University of Science and Technology, Abuja from 14 – 18 June 2010

Training and workshops will be held from Monday to Thursday with the BarCamp on Friday.  Each day will start promptly at 9AM and end at 5PM with breaks for refreshments.

Training

• Introductory course in Python: History of the language, its syntax and its objects
• Advanced Programming in Python: Built-in-tools for Python
• Python and web applications: Web frameworks including Django
• Scientific Applications of Python: For researchers and engineers.

Workshop

New Python developers get the opportunity to practice what they have learned. Participants with ideas or ongoing projects benefit from the presence of experts in the language.

Barcamp

• Presentation of the Python African Tour
• History and development of the Python language
• Use of Python in science and mobile application development
• Demonstration of tools and software
• Debates, Q&A sessions

The training is FREE but spaces are limited. Interested parties should apply online

Accommodation

Subsidized accommodation is available at the venue for successful applicants at the following rates.

Single bedroom @ N2000 per night

Twin bedroom i.e. 2 persons sharing @ N1500 per night
